Quality4Children also provides independent safeguarding and organisational integrity services designed to strengthen protection, accountability, and trust across organisations working with children, young people, and vulnerable adults.
Our services combine evidence-based methodologies with practical experience and are tailored to the organisational context, scale, and risk.
We work with national and international NGOs, humanitarian and development organisations, child and youth protection agencies, educational institutions, sports organisations, and any organisation where safeguarding of children, young people, or adults at risk is a priority.
1. Policy Development and Reviews
We support organisations in developing, reviewing, and strengthening safeguarding policies and related frameworks to ensure alignment with recognised international standards, regulatory expectations, and good practice.
Our work focuses on clarity, proportionality, and practical implementation. We review existing policies, procedures, and codes of conduct, identify gaps and risks, and provide clear, prioritised recommendations. Where required, we support the development of new safeguarding policies or the adaptation of global frameworks to local and operational contexts.
This includes:
- safeguarding policies and codes of conduct
- reporting and response procedures
- roles and accountability frameworks
- implementation guidance
2. Training and Capacity Building
We deliver tailored safeguarding training and capacity-building programmes designed to strengthen organisational culture, staff competence, and leadership accountability. Training is adapted to different roles and levels, including boards, senior leadership, safeguarding leads, managers, and frontline staff.
Our approach combines practical, case-based learning with a strong grounding in safeguarding principles, risk management, reporting, and response. Training can be delivered virtually or in person.
Training formats include:

- specialist training for safeguarding leads
Our training focuses on practical application, decision-making, and accountability.
3. Independent Investigations
We conduct independent safeguarding investigations in cases of alleged harm, misconduct, or safeguarding failures. Investigations are carried out using robust, fair, and trauma-informed methodologies, ensuring procedural integrity, confidentiality, and respect for all parties involved.
We provide organisations with clear findings, evidence-based conclusions, and practical recommendations to support decision-making, accountability, and organisational learning.
Investigations are:

4. Safeguarding Audits
Safeguarding audits are designed to provide focused, in-depth assurance and practical, actionable recommendations. They can be conducted at the organisational level or for specific organisational units, programmes, or service delivery areas.
Audits assess the effectiveness of safeguarding policies, procedures, systems, and practices against recognised international safeguarding and accountability standards and good practice. They deliver detailed findings, risk analysis, and clear, prioritised recommendations to support continuous safeguarding improvement and risk mitigation.
5. Seconded Safeguarding Specialist
We are available to support organisations on a short-, medium-, or long-term basis as a seconded safeguarding specialist. In this capacity, we support day-to-day safeguarding functions, advise on complex issues, strengthen systems, and build internal capacity.
This service supports:

- system strengthening
- interim safeguarding roles
6. Advisory and Assurance Services
We provide trusted advisory and independent assurance support to boards, senior leadership, and safeguarding leads. Services include guidance on governance, organisational risk, system maturity, and readiness for audit or certification.
We act as a critical friend, offering objective challenge and expert guidance while supporting organisations to embed safeguarding as a core organisational value.
